Spirit Water Publications!
Spirit
Water Publications is a non-profit publishing company dedicated to
sending out the
written word,
photography, and
artistic creations inspired by God-given life so others may
be more alive to that life that is filled with freedom and to know
better the character of the God who gives it. Started in 2002
by artist and author, Sarah Katreen Hoggatt, the company has been
overjoyed to touch the lives and inspire the people along life's
journey whom Sarah has come in contact with.
With a fourth
book in the writing stages and a new photography line about to be
released, as well as the continued production of the matted poetry line,
the company is excited for this new growth and is looking forward to
seeing where this will take us in the future. We hope you
will take a look at the books, see the faces behind them, and please

Train Conductor God
As I write this, I'm sitting at
the bar facing the windows of my favorite coffee shop. I love the
open feel of the place, the light streaming in from the street, the
white and wood detail with the little cream colored lights trailing around the
banister of the upper level of tables. It's a peaceful place and
they never bother you if you are here and haven't bought anything.
For someone like me who can't afford to buy a drink every time I come
in, it's a definite "selling" point. Outside the rain is falling
and people are making their way here and there, maybe shopping for a new
pair of red shoes, searching for a good Thai restaurant, or, like me,
merely needing to be out in community without actually talking to
anyone. It all puts me in a reflective train of thought.
Where the train is going I cannot say; I just know I'm on it....

Photography Line -
As you can see from the pictures posted with past
newsletters, Sarah has been working on expanding her photography
portfolio. There is now a
photography page on this
webpage showcasing both framed photography and photography on
greeting cards.
Quaker Youth Book
Project -
Sarah his serving as one of nine members on the
International Editorial Board for the Quaker Youth Book Project.
Together they are working on collecting submissions for a book to be
published in 2010 on young adult's spiritual journey's, life
transitions, and experiences of Quakerism. Look on the
website for more information and for bio's of the editorial
board and project coordinator.
