Oh my goodness! This is beautiful, Sarah. I've bookmarked it. I'd love to get together for coffee. I'm flying to Dallas tomorrow for Tom Hardeman's funeral and the rest of this week seems doomed but next week opens up a bit. I'm sure you're busy with the closing tasks at the Seminary but let's email and we'll figure something out. Bless you today my friend, Sarah (the other one)

Dear Sarah, I came across your page while looking for a website for Rainbow West. You have a nice website, and a beautiful smile. May I make a suggestion as an older woman in the Lord? In your photo, you are wearing a top that comes very close to revealing more of your femininity than I think you intend. My husband and I work with teenage boys and they have shared with us that it's really hard for them to keep their hearts and minds pure when young women call attention to their bodies in any way that's the least bit suggestive. That doesn't mean you can't be "current", but I would encourage you to be mindful of showing too much skin or too much shape. We also work with young ladies and it's fun and exciting to see them be creative with today's fashion, yet do it in a way that truly brings honor and glory to the Lord. I hope you take this right and that the Lord uses it for His glory in your life. I also pray that He blesses you mightily! Love in Christ, Kay

Dear Sarah, I just went to view your comments after sending mine in, and I noticed that in the past couple of days you've received a ton of inappropriate responses. If I were you I'd be VERY frustrated, so I thought I'd write and encourage you that the Lord wants you to stay faithful and strong, and that any attack from the enemy (which these seem to be) just mean that you are a threat to him. Don't give up. Don't be discouraged. Just stay faithful to Jesus!!! In Christ, Kay

Hi Sarah, I'm not a "poem" person, but knew, when I bought your book of poems, that it was going to be a very special book, but it was much more. My heart really went out to you, I could feel your pain reading some of the poems, brought tears to my eyes and I couldn't help but cry through some. Grampa and I are so very proud of you and we love you very much. Keep writing. Love Grampa and Grama

Hello Sarah, I just wanted to visit your site after meeting you last night at Courthouse. You seem to be a really cool person and your website is great! The first thing I noticed was that the vast majority of those writing were female. So, I debated about adding my words. Then I came to the prudish comment about your attire in your staff photo and I wanted to hurl. People with their heads that far into the sand would attend an exhibit like "Body Worlds 3" and leave in disgust because the human body was shown in its entirety; rather than marvel at how fearsomely and awesomely we are made. This is the same attitude that covered the legs of the piano-forte so its "limbs" were not exposed. The site is fantastic! I am pleased to have made your acquaintance. "The cookie lady."

Sarah, I just want to let you know that I have read all of your poems on this sight, and I am very impressed. I have written a few poems over the years, and I have them put away in a private folder. I have placed a couple of them in my Book, "Close Encounters of the Heavenly Kind: Through Bumper Stickers." I told you in my reply to your request to be taken off of the Beaver Path Finder Newsletter, that the book will come out in the middle of September 2008. I plan a big "signing party," when the book is officially announced. I am considering having you as you of the guests to do some reading. The signing party may be held at Eola Hills Winery. My good friend and owner of the winery, Tom Huggins, is open to holding the event. I hope to have 200 of my "best friends," come to the event. Let me know if your are interested in joining me. Many of the people coming will be OSU grads, and your connection to the school will not hurt you a bit to sell some of your products. Just meeting you in Quaker Meeting did not provide any clue to the expansiveness and depth of doings and beings you are involved in. I did experience quite a bit of surprise when I began the process of perusing your website. That one of your staff has a degree in philosophy piqued my interest quite bit. Plato said "the poets lie."; I have been against the implementation of Platonic ideas for many years now. Plato is trouble on a stick in my estimation. I tend to vibe along with some Platonic ideas, but I don't really want to see their fruition now or ever. We would all be so much poorer but for poetry.

My sister and I attend the yearly Christmas bazaar/craft sales in my hometown of Silverton. Our first stop if always the Friends Church bazaar. We had made it all the way around the room with our baskets full of gifts and were headed to the check out when we spotted your book "In His Eyes". We each grabbed a book and started randomly reading and saying to each other "turn to this page; oh, you've got to read this one" and alternately laughing and sniffling because you spoke to our hearts. Well, I put my book back because I had reached my spending limit but my kind sister bought herself and myself a copy. Now, after having time to sit down with a cup of coffee and your book I know that it will be the perfect Christmas gift for my walking partner/prayer buddy/best friend. Your love for God is palpable, it is real and I love it. Thank you for sharing your heart and your insights. Merry Christmas Gloria Runyon

Sarah, It was fun talking with you @Cravings Saturday night. As you can see I have found your website, sampled your poetry, etc.I'd like to go walking with you somewhere, sometimeto discuss your website, etc. You're obviously living your words, walking your talk. I'd like to sing you some songs I've written some time, also. After the jam,I went to a house Don was housesitting and played music and sang songs with Don and his houseguests-the couple from Vancouver,WA.who performed at CravingsWe played till 4:30 AM!I used to do that often, but I hadn't in years. It was lots of fun-secular,yet spiritual. I think of myself as Joseph of Arimethea(my middle name is Joseph)and you as the female Jesu.I've always wanted to hear what they talked about. That's the most intriguing piece in the gospels to me. Anyway-there's supposed to be another open mic scene with Diane Thursday night.Maybe I'll see you there. Au revoir,Gregoir

Sarah, This whole business about the divine feminine has been interesting to for a long time. I am influenced by the comments made about humanity, men and women by Camille Paglia. What she says is that nature and human biology contain realities that interfere with people's desires to have a better culture based on more enlightened philosophies. To the extent that those realities are ignored, those seeking better things suffer a pretty fair liklihood of seeing efforts aimed at a better world falter. I think Camille P's writing is awful tough going. It has been for me. Yet what she is saying is really making an impression on my thinking. Much of what she has to say bothers me quite a bit, but I think her descriptions of the relationship of humanity to nature are likely accurate.

It is such a great stroke of luck to meet people like you and all we dance with for if we focus on the joy of dancing together we can hop over the "dark stuff" loudly and proudly.
